Bulk Waste Collections
We are working in Partnership with the Probation Service Community Payback Scheme and the Arson Reduction Team to reduce the incidence of bulky items being left lying around the estate.
If you have large items of household waste that need disposing of from your property and you wannot get to a houseing waste sorting site, we have a Bulk Waste Collection service available (subject to criteria).
If you have any items that require collection, please call in at the Communities First office, 17/18 Gwenfro to complete a request form.
ICE - In Case of Emergency
Eight out of ten people aren't carrying information that would help if they were involved in an accident. Storing next of kin details in your mobile phone can assist the emergency services if you're unable to tell them who to contact.
Simply use your mobile's phone book to store the name and number of someone who should be contacted if you have an emergency - but add the letters ICE in front of their neame.
ICE stands for In Case of Emergency - it's what the emergency services will look for if you're involved in an accident and have your mobile phone with you.
No Cold Calling Zones
This is about local residents having the confiidence to say "NO" to uninvitetd sales people and warn rogue traders and cold callers that they are not welcome.
We will be promoting "No cold calling zones" in Fenwisk Drive during March and April. Caia Park Communities First staff, local CBM's and PCSO's, the local Tenants and Residents Association, Huosing Department and Trading Standards will be working together, calling at your home to discuss setting up a "No Cold Calling Zone" in your area.
Caia's Got Talent!
Friday 16th October was a very special day in Caia Park. A sell out crowd watched 11 acts as they sang, joked and strutted their stuff in front of a panel of three judges for a chance to win £100 and, much more important, to be the winner of our first “Caia’s Got Talent” Show.
The stage was decorated with enough glitz and glamour to satisfy the most demanding of stars and the capacity audience was extremely vocal in its support of the acts.
After each act, the judges gave their comments including some very constructive advice. Once all the acts had performed, the judges deliberated and gave their verdict by selecting the three acts they thought were the best. All the audience were given cards on which they were able to write the name of their favourite act. The winner was the act that received the highest number of votes from the audience.
The winners went on to perform at the Caia Park Residents Awards becoming local celebrities. Everyone involved with the event had a fantastic night and it is hoped that this will be the first of an annual event although we may need to look for a larger venue next time!

Caia Park has long been recognised as one of the most vibrant and active communities within Wrexham. There is never a shortage of people willing to turn their hand to any activity or task and they have long been recognised for their innovative approaches to community development.
Because of the large size of the estate, Caia Park has seven tenants and residents associations in the following areas:
- Kingsley Circle
- Rhosnesni
- Pentre Gwyn, Tanycoed and Coed Y Bryn
- Smithfield
- Afon
- Tanydre
- Springlodge
The estate also benefits from a large panel of residents from across all areas who meet collectively to look at issues and concerns raised by local people and look at ways of addressing these to improve their local area. This is known as the Caia Park Residents Advisory Panel.
